Michael Barnett founded Seismic Agency in 2020 to drive transformative growth for mid-sized businesses and nonprofits. Under his leadership, the company has secured millions of dollars in new business and funding for clients across the U.S. and globally. He believes that business is a force for good, and financial stewardship and strong leadership are key to overcoming growth barriers and achieving long-term impact.

Prior to launching Seismic Agency, Michael managed multi-million-dollar procurement at a subsidiary of Hallmark and developed new product categories. During this time he built business relationships in China, India, Vietnam, and the U.S. Other past professional experience includes teaching innovation and entrepreneurship at the university level, developing Department of Defense training programs, and his eight-year military service. He led detachments and tactical Special Operations teams as a Staff Sergeant (E-6), with deployments to Operation Enduring Freedom in 2005 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009. Training and operating at 11 bases across Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, and the U.S., Michael was directly engaged in counterterrorism in conflict zones.

Volunteering for 6 years as Board Chair of a local nonprofit, he drives financial growth and leadership development in support of the aging and disabled. Michael and his wife of 20 years, Amanda, have four children and two grandchildren. Together as a family, they enjoy exploring the outdoors and serving their Siloam Springs, AR community.
